Some terms that came up were: sore muscles (筋肉痛), blood pressure (血圧), to make someone do something (誰かにやらせること), sparking water (炭酸水), second serving/helping (おかわり), transparent (透明な), to get on one’s nerves/to bug someone (癪に障る、気になる), to blow one’s nose (鼻をかむ), to report (報告する), blackout/power outage (停電する), refrigerator (冷蔵庫), nutritionist (栄養士), to weigh (量る), and weight (体重).

In the second half, we talked about what we could do by ourselves (shopping, watching a movie, traveling, etc.)

Some terms that came up were: duty (当番), to leave something in (入れておく、漬けておく), to dip (漬ける), to invest (投資する), to laugh out loud (大声で笑う), partition (仕切り), grill (網), I don’t have the courage to~ (~をする勇気がない), to pretend (真似する), to get used to~ (~に慣れる), nature (自然), and flu (インフルエンザ).

Long time no see! So sorry for being absent the past two weeks. I was travelling in Hawaii and had my graduation last week.

In the first half, we watched a video on Justice by Michael Sandel regarding a professional golfer (PGA vs. Casey Martin). Then, we saw a video on eSports and had a discussion.

In the second half, we talked about sweets and cafes around Kyoto.

Some terms that came up were: definition (定義), competition (大会), ~branch (~店舗), shaved ice (かき氷), whipped cream (生クリーム), ordinary (平凡な、普通な), shooting range (射撃場) , and Caucasian (白色人種の).
