Hello everyone!
Small class today, but that didn’t stop us from having some great discussions today!
We started our discussion with black friday! The crazy shopping experience that happens once a year in America the day after Thanksgiving! It’s pretty crazy with all the sales and people! We talked about the origin of the word black friday and how it stemmed from all the traffic and congestion. It has since evolved into meaning its the days when retail companies will go ‘into the black’ or turning a profit!
For our next class we talked a lot about baseball! We talked about the current events going on around the major league and what will happen in the future of baseball. We also talked about Shohei Ohtani and what it means for the Japanese presence in baseball.
