Thank you all for joining today’s class. Today’s topics were “Sounds” and “Amazon”. It was very interesting to hear all your thoughts on the subject, especially Sachiko’s adventurous spirit to be open to going to visit and live in the Amazon for a limited time and Mai’s point about the importance of preserving different species. We often hear and believe that we should preserve the species in the world but we never actually wonder why we have to do this, so your opinions on that were very thoughtful. In the other class, we discussed about different sounds and their affects, and we came across the word “onomatopoeia” such as in Japanese “bara bara” or “fuwa fuwa”, but in English, we also have something similiar to these like Miki mentioned in comics, like”boom” or “zap”, but these are not as commonly used in spoken speech as in Japanese. We discussed a lot today so if you still have any questions you wanted to ask, please feel free to ask them at the next class. Take care!
